The Updates on Pain Review: Conversations with the Experts curriculum has been designed to provide the latest adjustments to pain management practices and improve the practitioner’s overall performance in patient care.

Intended Audience

This activity is intended for pain medicine specialists preparing for certification or re-certification in Pain Medicine, other allied health care professionals interested in expanding their knowledge and improving their practice in pain medicine, and individuals on the Healthcare Team with an interest in pain management.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  • To explore new techniques of imaging and intervention using ultrasound.
  • To discuss the role of imaging in management of pain.
  • To discuss use of different modalities in imaging of painful conditions and problem solving.

Statement of Need

Dannemiller is an organization dedicated to the presentation of postgraduate education courses for the purpose of updating and reviewing all areas in the specialties of anesthesia and pain management. For more than a decade, Dannemiller has sponsored numerous CME activities in the area of pain management. As a result of this experience, Dannemiller has had the opportunity to recruit experts from all disciplines involved in pain management. Through evaluation of the Outcomes Studies Reports from these previously sponsored activities, which incorporated feedback from both attendees and experts, Dannemiller has carefully planned this CME activity to provide information that will enhance the attendee's ability to recognize, evaluate, and treat the patients with chronic pain.

The Updates on Pain Review: Conversations with the Experts curriculum has been designed to provide the latest adjustments to pain management practices and improve the practitioner’s overall performance in patient care.

Accreditation Statement(s)

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Dannemiller. Dannemiller is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses

Dannemiller designates this educational activity for 1.00 contact hours, which includes 0.00 pharmacotherapeutic hours.

Physicians

Dannemiller designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants

Dannemiller has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for a maximum of 1.00 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until 12/31/2024. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Method of Participation

This activity should take approximately 1.00 hour(s) to complete. Participants should first read the objectives and other introductory CME/CE information and then proceed to the educational activity. To receive credit for this activity, participants must complete the post-test with a passing score of 80% and then complete the evaluation. Credit is provided through 12/31/2024. No credit will be given after this date. There is $25.00 fee to participate in this activity.
