Joint Sponsorship

The Dannemiller Memorial Educational Foundation (Dannemiller) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) as a sponsor of continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. We can also provide continuing education credit for other health care professionals including RNs, CRNAs, and Pharmacists.

In addition to developing our own CME Programs, the Dannemiller Foundation also works with non-accredited organizations to develop quality, educational programs for physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) recognizes this type of educational activity as a jointly sponsored activity. Jointly sponsored activities can be accredited for AMA PRA category 1 credit for physicians by the accredited sponsor (Dannemiller) if the Essential Areas and Elements of the ACCME are carefully followed and fully documented. The Dannemiller has developed specific policies and procedures to work with non-accredited organizations to plan, develop, conduct, distribute and document jointly sponsored educational programs. Our staff of experienced dedicated CME professionals works closely with our joint sponsor to ensure that a quality, non-biased, educational program is developed and documented in total compliance with the Essential Areas and Elements of the ACCME.

In the development of continuing medical education, the Dannemiller often works with "educational partners." These partners are instrumental in allowing the Foundation to produce exceptional educational offerings. Generally, these partners are:

  • Joint sponsors, are non-accredited entities and co-sponsors, who are other accredited entities. These organizations are outstanding educational organizations in their own right, who agree to partner with the Dannemiller Foundation on a particular CME activity, thereby enhancing our ability to provide exceptional CME.
