CME Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the project manager is to provide leadership and project management expertise in the development, planning, and execution of educational projects, programs and activities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Develop and/or review project documentation for continuing medical education programs and activities.
  • Provide leadership and project management expertise in the planning of continuing medical education activities.
  • Organizes and facilitates customer meetings, participates in presentations to customers and status meetings with project team.
  • Performs administrative activities associated with projects including billing, customer and internal correspondence, status reports, record keeping etc.
  • Develops methods and procedures for efficient project completion, the effective utilization of resources and ensures a quality product is delivered.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong organization, written and verbal communication, and teamwork skills required.
  • 3 years or more of professional level experience preferred in the combined areas of project management, marketing/sales and/or customer service positions strongly desired.
  • Experience in project management, facilitation, problem solving, planning/organizing, customer contact, communication, influencing and negotiating highly desired.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be flexible and detail oriented yet see the big picture, and work in an ever-changing, fast paced environment.
  • Strong PC skills required, including experience with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, etc.

Director of CME

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the Director of Continuing Medical Education is to provide leadership to the company as the acknowledged organizational authority on all aspects of CME.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Establish annual goals and objectives for the CME Department in support of the Dannemiller organizational goals.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the Essential Areas and policies and guidance of the ACCME, to include the Standards for Commercial Support.
  • Formulate and author the self-study required for re-accreditation by the ACCME.
  • Serve as Compliance Officer for all educational activities of the company.
  • Represent the company to the CME community as a proactive leader in understanding the Essential Standards of the ACCME and how Dannemiller incorporates the essence of the standards in the organization. As such, take an active role in both local and national organizations, e.g. TACME, ACME, and NAAMECC.
  • Play an active role in marketing and business development, including evaluating the leading edge new educational opportunities that Dannemiller offers its clients.
  • Be knowledgeable of current developments in adult education, continuing education, and techniques that may enhance the Dannemiller business model.
  • Ensure the project planning process is documented, needs assessments are comprehensive and complete in accordance with ACCME guidance, and budgets are appropriate, accurate, and can be documented.
  • Oversee and guide the evaluation process for all activities. Monitor the process of evaluation and outcomes measurement; oversee the analysis of data and report to clients. Evaluate the increased focus on Outcomes Data and determine how Dannemiller can capitalize on this as an industry leader.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

BS/BA Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
